Luyện nghe bài hát Moreton Bay

One Sunday as I went walking
By Brisbane I chanced to stray
I heard a convict his bewailing
As on the riverbank he lay

I am a of Erin's Ireland
But banished now my native shore
They stole me my aged parents
And the maiden whom I do adore

I've a prisoner at Port Macquarie
At Island and Emu Plains
At Castle Hill and the Toongabbie
At all these settlements I've in chains

But of all of condemnation
And penal stations in New Wales
To Moreton Bay I have no equal
Excessive each day prevails

For three long years I was beastly
And irons on my legs I wore
My from flogging was lacerated
And oft times painted with my crimson

And many a man from downright
Lies moldering now underneath the
And Logan he had us mangled
All On the of Moreton Bay

the Egyptians and ancient Hebrews
We oppressed under Logan's yoke
Till a native black lying in ambush
Did deal this with his mortal stroke

My fellow prisoners be
That all such like death may find
And when from we're liberated
Our former shall will fade from mind
